In a kadai or pan add the grated beetroot. When it becomes hot, add the grated beetroot and saute for few minutes. Cook in medium flame till the halva leaves the sides of the kadai. Serve the beetroot halva hot or cold as you like.
Steps to make Kadai Beetroot Halwa:
- In a large Kadai, add grated Beetroot and Milk. Cook on a low heat for about 15 minutes well covered. Take care not to cover it fully, keep a wooden spatula inside it and bring the lid to almost near it. There will be a little gap seen. If covered fully, there is a chance of Milk oozing out. So be careful about that.
- After 15-20 minutes, it's almost tender and soft. Now's the turn to add in the rest of the ingredients except the last one. Mix well and cook further for about 5 minutes on a high heat. Keep stirring it until the Sugar melts and Ghee starts leaving the sides.
- Keep a watchful eye on it. Stirring is important so that it does not stick to the bottom and also the Halwa gets a proper bit of roasting that gives it an actual amazing flavour. It's done in almost 30-35 minutes. Garnish with slivered Almonds and Pistachios. Serve immediately. Enjoy!
