It will give it a nice and creamy texture, that skim milk or low-fat milk won't give. Khoya - I like to add Khoya in my Halwa, but it is completely optional.   1. Grate the beetroot and carrot.
  2. Heat ghee in pan and pour grated beetroot and carrot.stir it and let it be cook for almost 30 minutes on lower flame.
  3. Add milk and khoya..stir it until it gets dry.Now mix sugar in Halwa and keep stirring it untill it gets cooked completely.It takes time so always cook it on low flame.Garnish with almonds or your choice of dry fruits.
  4. Your halwa is ready.
